Step 1: Add the required Repository


You need to add the repository by using the following command.

sudo add-apt-repository universe


Step 2: Update the System


Now you need to update the ubuntu's current repository by using the given command.

sudo apt-get update


Step 3: Install Putty


To install Putty just execute the following command. 

sudo apt-get install putty -y
